The Village of South Elgin is a community of 23,000 people located 45 miles west of Chicago and about 20 miles west of O’Hare airport. South Elgin is located in the Fox River Valley, which features an abundance of natural beauty, parks, and recreation activities.

Due to a lack of available inventory, home sales declined in the past year: single family homes by 6% and townhouses and condos by 16%. Prices rose in the past year, however. The sales price of single family homes increased by 4% to an average of $302,000; townhouses and condos increased by 3% to an average of $178,000.
